About Me / Resume

Hi! I’m Jake, a film editor and on-set/post-production technician. Originally from Michigan, I am currently based in Metro Detroit. I  earned my BFA in Motion Pictures & Television from the  Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
 
I find editing to be an incredibly rewarding and enjoyable craft. Beyond traditional narrative, documentary, music video, and continuity editing, I'm experienced in media management, audio mixing, color correction, and transcoding.I've also worked extensively on-set as a DIT and assistant editor, ensuring smooth handoffs between production and post.
 
In school and freelance settings, I've collaborated with directors, clients, and editorial teams under fast turnarounds. I'm equally comfortable managing technical workflows or working closely with creatives to bring a project to life.
